UNESCO World Heritage Day

This year the city of Goslar and the ore mine of Rammelsberg will celebrate their 20th World Heritage Anniversary with a big variety of interesting events about the medieval treasures which Goslar has to offer. City Guides, Museums, Churches and other different public buildings will open their doors for interested guests.
Schützenfest (markmen's fair)

Goslar‘s marksmen‘s fair is one of the largest in the south of Niedersachsen. With two large firework displays, the latest fairground rides as well as the popular pottery and flea market and the “His and Hers“ exhibition, there is something for everyone at the fairground in Goslar, whatever their age.
Handicrafts market
4 to 5 August 2012
In the picturesque little streets of the old town some 150 exhibitors display delightful handcrafted articles made of pottery, leather, textiles, glass, wood as well as jewellery, dolls, puppets and lots more. Many of them will allow you to look over their shoulder as they work.
Old Town Festival
31 August - 2 September 2012
During the first week of September "The Old Town Festival" takes place. The historic old town changes with various stages and livemusic into a big party.
Christmas market with forest
28 November to 30 December 2012
You will immediately be filled with Christmas spirit as you happily sip mulled wine in Germany‘s unique forest of Christmas trees right in the town centre. You will be tempted to linger as you walk over the soft ground of the forest with its 50 spruces, sparkling with ten thousand lights. But the Christmas market right next door invites you to sample its delicacies or choose from the handicrafts displayed at eighty stands. Here the magic word is individuality – these little huts have been lovingly decorated by the stallholders themselves, sparing little effort or expense.
