Schützenfest (markmen‘s fair)

Every year on the Osterfeld in Goslar, the largest fair in the region takes place. With a great variety of racy rides, all sorts of delicious foods and the separate non-food market Krammarkt, the large annual event excites its visitors.
Handicrafts market
3 to 4 August, 2013
In the picturesque little streets of the old town some 150 exhibitors display delightful handcrafted articles made of pottery, leather, textiles, glass, wood as well as jewellery, dolls, puppets and lots more. Many of them will allow you to look over their shoulder as they work.

33. Tag der Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony Day)
For the first time the festival of the Federal State Lower Saxony takes places at three places. Visitors can expect a high-quality program of music and other live acts on numerous stages, a big festival parade, activity areas, information booths and much more. Over 6,000 person from cultural organisations and associations are involved in the cultural program and looking forward to hundreds of thousands visitors.
Christmas market with forest

More than 80 lovingly decorated food and arts & crafts stalls provide visual variety before a unique background. Surrounded by the magnificent illuminated façades of the historic city hall and the imposing Kaiserworth, the Christmas Market in and around
Goslar‘s market square is probably the most beautiful one in the entire region. In the unique Christmas forest, visitors
will find 50 10-metre fir trees illuminated by tens of thousands of small lights, and a springy forest floor creating a joyful winter atmosphere.
