Since the Middle Ages the Sülfmeister (Master Salter) were relevant for the production of salt which made Lüneburg a rich and powerful city. Always in autumn Lüneburg is celebrating a big party in honor of Sülfmeister.

Lüneburg and „Red Roses“
Since 2006, Lüneburg has been the shooting location for German TV channel ARD‘s telenovela „Red Roses“. Hardly any other German city combines romanticism, young life and a historic
