The original of the Gospels of Henry the Lion is presented by the Duke August Libary
The gospels are one of the most magnificent and valuable manuscripts of the Middle ages. The former most expensive book in the world, was bought at an auction in London in 1983 for more then 32 Million Deutsche Mark.
For reasons of conservation the gospels will be presented only each two years for a few weeks.
