An impressive glow of lights, a festively decorated city and the unique architecture ensemble of the medievally-dominated castle square transform Braunschweig into a magical Christmas city.
For over 300 years the Braunschweig Christmas market, framed by the cathedralof Henry the Lion, the Dankwarderode castle and the city hall, has
attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors and, with its 130 lovingly-decorated stands, is considered one of the most beautiful in Germany. Specialties from Braunschweig and the region bring pleasure to the palate.
