At Advent time the delightful old town of Celle looks particularly splendid. The bright Christmas lights create a festive atmosphere among the colourful half-timbered facades, and the air is full of the aroma of spiced almonds, delicious mulled wine (Glühwein), fresh biscuits and other delicacies and treats.
