Gables set off by the lights
2012 - 28 November to 30 December
When thousands of little lamps bathe the historic gables of Lüneburg in a warm glow, the run-up to Christmas has started in the ancient Hanseatic city famed for its salt. Over 700 years old, the market square in front of the town hall is a magical setting for the Christmas market, while the surrounding streets provide a stage for the fairy tales from Grimm, to the delight of the watching children.
